Leading youth ministry isn't easy! Volunteers burn out quickly, and often feel overloaded and alone. There is a huge void in reasonable, focused training for volunteers working with youth. We've seen time and time again, that well trained, experienced leaders help youth see a purpose in their lives and set them on a positive course for their future. Our team at 316 Octane simultaneously trains the students and adults so they can grow in their leadership skills and then take on leadership roles within the organizations in the future.
Both students and youth worker volunteers will receive 42 hours of intensive leadership training per year, in the form of 3-hour training events. In addition, volunteers can receive 50 hours of intensive training and experience in effectively leading a community outreach service trip.
As the 316 Octane Training Institute provides development of leadership skills, it also networks existing volunteers, while educating churches in the recruitment of new volunteers.
Please look at the calendar for upcoming training sessions.
Our trainings have been made possible by a grant from the Church Extension Fund. To learn more about CEF, please go to http://www.mi-cef.org.
